Weekly Challenge #44; Color Challenge

Ok, I'm doing something I've never done here before....I've CASEd someone else's work! Now, you know there are so many talented stamp artists out there, it's really difficult NOT to copy! And this color combo (So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Brocade Blue) was a bit uninspiring....that is, until I stumbled across this gorgeous card. Not my typical style, I've always admired the color block technique. And doesn't that card look like my new favorite set, Essence of Love, could be easily substituted?

So, here it is, my version. A bit simpler, not as many layers, no hodgepodge or rub ons, and different colors....but I'm pretty happy with it! Check out those butterflies....I stamped on the base and then again on a scrap and cut out...then layered over top for a 3-D look.

Stamps: Essense of Love, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Chocolate Chip
CS: Chocolate Chip, Natural Ivory (base), Certainly Celery, Brocade Blue, So Saffron (YES, it IS So Saffron even though it looks like Summer Sun!!)
Misc: Large Oval Punch, Template & Paper Piercer (Tool Kit), Antique Brass Mini Brads, Designer Punch

Nicely done. The image done in chocolate chip on the saffron looks like a sunset silhouette.
