Well, the other day, I visited Michael's and picked up Paper Crafts Holiday Card issue. Lots of fabulous ideas in there! Then I spotted the holiday candle on Page 75, it kind of jumped out at me! This was something that I could reproduce, but using SU products and this is what I came up with......using the so very versatile Pick a Petal. This set is just so amazing.....so many ways to use it. Although each petal was stamped and cut out, it really doesn't take long at all. The only problem I had with this whole project is the coaster, or candle holder. I used a chipboard coaster and covered it with some fabulous background paper....but, when I looked for some marbles to glue onto the base as feet......well, as I said, "I lost my marbles!" Can't find them anywhere. So, imagine little marble legs on the bottom in each of the four corners.
Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully, you've had a chance to check out the others who particpate in the Weekly Challenges. They always come up with the most amazing ideas, don't you think!

Sorry about that last post! I just woke up and after hitting publish I notice tons of typos, lol! Anyway, your candle is beautiful and a great alternative to stamping on the tissue paper. My club women want to do candles and I keep putting it off cuz more than one of them will over melt and need to start over, costs me too much. Thanks for the idea.
What a great candle. It's so very festive and colorful! You've given me a great idea for another project...thanks for the inspiration.
Very nice holiday decoration!
This is VERY pretty, Barbara! What a great holiday gift for someone! I'll definitely be using your idea!

What a fun candle! And, once you find your marbles, the base will be just perfect!
Very pretty Barbara! I love the poinsettia you made out of the pick a petal set.
I bet it will look even better when you find the marbles.
Your ideas are always inspirational, Barbara!
Time for you to schedule some classes now ....:-)

Barb: I love the candle and the use of the Pick a Petal set for the Poinsetta! Great job!
Very festive - Candles are always a fun decoration and I like the poinsettia flower.
This is beautiful. It will make a lovely holiday decoration.
Great candle Barb, love that poinsettia. I know I too have a sack of marbles somewhere but they would take a long time to find so you aren't the only one!
